Mother Earth?

So I was just hanging out and I started to think where the hell does the name ''Mother Earth'' come from, so I came up with this (is all just a joke, don't take it too seriously):

Once upon a time, many many many years ago, there was an oracle.. People believed her every word because she could see to the future and past. One day the oracle's dad died and her brother called her via Skype. The oracle had 7 siblings so they had to talk about the funeral. A man from the village near by happened to walk past her cave when she was skyping. The oracle said

''...after all, each and every one of us is a child of our father Earl'', and because the villager was half deaf, he heard

''...after all, each and every one of us is a child of our Mother Earth''. The man hurried back to the village and told everyone what he had heard. The villagers and their priest came up with the solution that this oracle was seeing a vision of the creation of our planet so they decided to call our planet the ''Mother Earth''. The word spread all around the world and everyone agreed. That's why there is this word ''Mother Earth'' (rhymes, yay).

Thank you for reading :) Bye!
